Ruby Carter is a Chicago-based cartoonist whose mission is to come up with weird stories and release them into the world. She does this by hand-drawing alternative comics. Sometimes she prints her own work and sometimes small-scale publishers do it for her. You can find her work at bookstores with a DIY vibe, or hanging around with other strange folks at expositions.
